What does it mean to establish a relationship? Are people always aware of what they want in their relationships? Where do relationships start, where do they end? Do relationships always entail an Exchange? Does a relationship ever really end? At the end of a relationship, has the reckoning ended as well? Or is there stil a sense of something to be gained, or something owed? If relationships encompass so many questions, who and how can a person trust? Such questions are provoked by the “Creditors”. Even though August Stridberg raised these issues over a century ago, these points are stil relevant in today’s relations between men and women, the concept of marriage and the expectations men and women have of eachother.
