“Der Fensterputzer” is the latest work of Pina Bausch, recognized as one of world’s most ,important contemporary choreographers. In this most recent creation the Wuppertal Dance Theatre, founded by Pina Bausch, exemplifies the artist’s rich imagination, superior technique and the dancer’s impeccable professionalism. This three hour celebration featuring a striking decor composed of thousands of satin roses, remarkable lighting and enchanting music received a ten minute standing ovation at its premiere in Wuppertaş in early 1997. “Der Fensterputzer” is a reflection on a rapidly urbanising city (Hong Kong) that stil exhibits traces of its eastern culture. For the Turkish audience it will be a breathtaking event.
