« Places from There » (Les Lieux de là) travels through the language of sound by way of imaginary spaces. The focus is on the figure of the chorus. A chorus of community, through mythical, ordinary, singular figures, pictorial of masses and presences. This choreography for twelve dancers and one musician is the result of an exceptional collaboration with the composer Heiner Goebbels which follows the observation of the mental process of imprisonment. With a set comprised of walls and cardboard on a reflecting dance floor, the poetic abstraction of the dancers and the live music of Heiner Goebbels are closely mixed to translate with glitters the necessary emotion and humanism as an essential attitude. After the performances in Istanbul, a tour will follow to the Festival d’Avignon 99, Antwerpen, Adelaide Festival 2000 and Hanover.
