İZMİT MUNICIPAL THEATRE
- Written by: Bernard-Marie Koltès
- Directed by: Işıl Kasapoğlu
Bernard-Marie Koltès, one of the most significant writers of modern French drama, died on April 15, 1989 at the age of 41. Bernard-Marie Koltès’ courageous attempt to question anarchy and aggression is the reason why he is often compared with Rimbaud, Antonin Artaud and Jean Genet. This questioning gives also life to “Roberto Zucco”, which Koltès wrote in 1988, based on the real life story of a killer. Koltès takes his hero on a mythical journey through a landscape of strange and violent beauty at the end of 20th century. “Roberto Zucco”, a production of İzmit Municipal Theatre will make its premier in the framework of the 11th International Istanbul Theatre Festival.
