Can there be anything more exciting than a nostalgic journey through the old songs and music from the plays we saw in the past or heard about from our elders? Since the end of the nineteenth century, Turkish theatre has given us many musicals. Istanbul has always been a city of music, pleasure, dance and theatre. This musical performance incorporates music and songs chosen from Turkish musicals and plays which are represented in a theatrical from by the Istanbul Municipal Theatre’s actors and dancers. The costumes designed for the original performances of the plays have been used in order to create as authentic an atmosphere as possible.
