Blush is confrontational and intensly physical. Central to the piece is the instinctive body: the restless, unpredictable, powerful yet fragile body, the body of reflexes. The wild rock music by David Eugene Edwards and words from Peter Verhelst, form the background to an avalanche of images. Wim Vandekeybus’ work seems to push dancers and technology beyond their limits, in a total osmosis of live action, film and music. Blush seeths with energy, danger, emotion and sensuality..
