A show consisting three parts
“Ford Mach I” is a novel consciously left unfinished by the author. The play is a tripartite progression from this novel. A tender sadness remains inbetween irony, madness and fury. The rhythm varies in each of the three parts. The first part is about “the escapades” running away from Istanbul upon the invasion of the city by an onrush of the construction contractors. The second part is about a one-day affair of unrequited love. In the third part, we witness the masses who take refuge in silence. Sevim Burak’s not only self-mocking irony, but also the way she challenges the world are striking with respect to the way the late author employs fine details of the society which she lived in, blew the whistle on and anticipated the future of.
