“Yalta Game” and “After Play” are two short plays by the Irish playwright of international renown, Brian Friel. Both plays are inspired by Anton Chekhov.

“Yalta Game” is a free adaptation of “The Woman with a Dog,” a story by Chekhov. “After Play” is based on a reunion of two characters from two separate plays by Chekhov: Andrei from the “Three Sisters” and Sonia from the “Uncle Vania.”

They meet in a café in Moscow; now twenty years older.
