A double-bill of two one-act plays

It is not that the characters and their stories in these two plays are related. Yet, the plays are related enough in that, however separate they may seem, they are equally passionate journeys into a final, absolute truth through the smoke-screens of illusion. “Some Kind of Love Story” depicts a daydreaming woman who blows hot and cold in unveiling a particular social reality and the corruption of justice. “Elegy for a Lady” looks into a couple’s search for the meaning and nature of their sexual relationship which gradually draws to a close in anticipation of the death of one of them. -Arthur Miller
