Tadashi Suzuki is known as one of the most influential theatre directors of the 20th century. His perspective consists of theory, practice, education, management and goes beyond the boundaries of ordinary norms. Ivanov reveals the self-criticism of the chief character that is in the process of decadence. He gives voice to the character’s views on the world and his thoughts. “Ivanov” is staged with the music of Pulitzer-prize winning American composer Roger Reynolds.
