Eimuntas Nekrosius, one of the leading Shakespearean interpreters today, will present his “Othello,” performed by the Meno Fortas Company founded in 1998. His “Othello” won the best production and the best male actor awards when it was first introduced at the Venice Biennale in 2001. Nekrosius shapes Shakespeare’s “Othello” into his own metaphor and symbols, with its severe, stormy, picturesque and wavering tensions that engross the audience’s imagination.
