- Written by: Aiskhilos
- Directed by: Theodoros Terzopoulos
Theodoros Terzopoulos has carried the Turkish-Greek partnership to the stage in the most beautiful manner in previous İstanbul Theatre Festivals, and now once again he stages an ancient Greek tragedy with Turkish and Greek actors. ‘The Persians’ is being staged for the first time in Turkey. The energy and rhythm of Terzopoulos’s plays, the aesthetics in the use of sound and bodies and the rituals provocatively place the tragedy in the modern epoch. The next stop of ‘The Persians’ of Terzopoulos, the President of the International Theatro Olympics will be the Epidaurus Theatre in Greece which holds 14,000 people.
