Semaver Kumpanya

  • Written by: William Shakespeare
  • Adapted by: Yavuz Pekman
  • Directed by: Işıl Kasapoğlu

In “The Tempest” Shakespeare had likened the world to a ship that travelled from the traditional to the modern, from aristocracy to bourgeoisie, from darkness to light at the beginning of the 17th century. It seems the world has cast anchor at global capitalism and global colonialism. Semaver Kumpanya takes another look at today’s global world by turning Shakespeare’s text upside down.
