Produced by Dostlar Tiyatrosu during the 2008 season which marks the 60th anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights, Sivas ‘93 will be performed with the Festival’s special invitation. Written and directed by Genco Erkal, this documentary drama makes a powerful impact by confronting what happened 15 years ago at the Madımak Hotel in Sivas. The violent events that caused the lives of 37 people on July 2, 1993 are harsh realities that must never evade the memories, but remain to be constantly questioned.
