René Pollesch’s works attempt to give dramatic art a new and appropriate form for the 21st century. Putting forward a powerful political perspective, The Ruhr Trilogy is a three-year experimental theatre project in which the urban topography and the progressive commodification of all areas of life each play a major supporting role. In part two, Pollesch casts his habitual sharp eye on present-day work and life in its complexity and contradictions.
