  • Written & Directed by: Nesrin Kazankaya
  • Dramaturgy: Şafak Eruyar

Written and directed by Nesrin Kazankaya, the play takes place in Izmir in 1923. The war is over, and the Bill of Population Exchange has just passed the parliament. The rich Turkish-Greek family, The Vlastoses, which has a long strain of gentility and of culture in this land, are preparing to emigrate in their stately home in Bornova, Izmir. The Turkish household who have been working for the Vlastoses and were threated like family. are all sad witnesses of this disaster. The traumatic marks of the war and the forced immigration reveal the confrontation between the Turkish and Greek family members and it seems to alleviate the impossiblity of living together.
