A mansion that had lived through the Ottoman Empire, witnessed the change the Republic ushered, and was destroyed in 1959... A woman who was born at that mansion in 1919 and is still witnessing what is going around today... GalataPerform invites us to the House of Hundred to listen to our hundred-year-old story. Directed by Yeşim Özsoy, the play where reality and fiction intermingle presents us with a subjective point of view that will lead us to reflect on concepts and changes that bloom on the verge of world wars, on a timeline from 1918 to 2018.
House of Hundred, is part of a multi-national co-production titled Haunted Houses on the concept of nation, developed for War or Peace: Crossroads of History 1918-2018 Festival with the collaboration of GalataPerform (Turkey), The Red House Centre for Culture and Debate (Bulgaria), Experimental Stage/-1 (Greece), Theater Neumarkt (Switzerland) and Studio Я / Maxim Gorki Theatre (Germany) and with the support from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
