A hidden gem unearthed at the festival opening

A pioneering example of theatre of the absurd in Turkey, Melih Cevdet Anday’s Inspectors is treated with a modern approach by eminent director Engin Hepileri in this new production featuring a stellar cast and original music by the celebrated singer/songwriter Kenan Doğulu. The seldom-staged Inspectors that takes the audience to a utopia and leaves them at the end with more questions than answers as is typical of the genre will be a rare treat for all theatre lovers.
