The marriage race with Swedish Jonas: desires, crises and migration dreams

Reka Collective’s new work, following their TEB Awards-winning Let’s Overcome These, depicts young people trying to marry Swedish Jonas to leave Türkiye. Using a flexible, collaborative approach with cameras and new media, the performance explores multiple perspectives, opening layers of reality, and individual and collective aspirations.
