This year, Istanbul Mon Amour offers two options: the Leisurely Tour and the Fast Tour. Those who would also like to explore the streets and venues of Kadıköy can choose the Leisurely Tour, while those who prefer to focus solely on the stories can opt for the Fast Tour. The Leisurely Tour begins earlier, and by the end of the day, audiences from both tours come together at the same venue for a shared story.

Three stories, three impossible loves on the streets of Kadıköy

Created in 2022 from an idea by festival curator Işıl Kasapoğlu, Istanbul Mon Amour is the Istanbul Theatre Festival’s multi-venue performance series, taken on by a different company each year. This year, BAM Istanbul brings the series to three venues across Kadıköy, telling the stories of women who visit the city, hate it and fall in love with it. Written and directed by Murat Mahmutyazıcıoğlu, the three stories explore love, hate, memory and belonging.

• The route begins at St. Joseph French High School and ends at Komünite.
• Parking is available at St. Joseph French High School. Terminal İstanbul, where Komünite is located, has a paid car park with valet service and accessible parking.

ACCESSIBILITY

• St. Joseph French High School, where the route begins, is accessible by tram (Moda İlkokulu stop, approximately 240 m), bus (Altıyol stop, approximately 850 m) and metro (M4 line, Kadıköy Station – Exit 2, Moda, approximately 1 km).
• The route is suitable for audience members who are able to climb stairs and walk on sloping terrain.
• As the entrances to the venues along the route are not step-free and involve stairs, the route may be challenging for wheelchair users, those who have difficulty climbing stairs or those who require assistance on steep inclines.
