Based on “Dr. Faust” by Thomas Mann with fragments of the works of Goethe, Marlowe, Baudelaire and Andersen.

One of distinguished guests of the 1994 Festival D’Automme A Paris was Centre Dramatique National d’Orleans. “Docteur Faustus” is conceived and produced by Stéphane Braunschweig and Giorgio Barberio Corsetti. Stéphane Braunschweig has been named the director of the French National Drama Centre in Orleans 1993, and in recent years he has been hailed as one of the most exciting directing talents to emerge. The Italian artist Giorgio Barberio Corsetti was awarded in Taormina, in 1994, with the “Prize Europe- New Theatrical Realities” for his creative scenic works. “Doctor Faustus” is based on Chapter 25 of Thomas Mann’s novel. This remarkable play is embellished by visual effects which involves the Dynamics of contemporary theatrical concepts. Braunschweig and Corsetti gathered great appreciation in 1994 Edinburgh Festival with “The Winter’s Tale.”
