Written in the 60’s by the English playwright Terence Neely, “Don’t Let Summer Come” is debating man’s alienation from the wrold he created. Neely, backs up this theme by creating a suspensive atmosphere. Aims at analyzing man’s escape and in consequence his diminishing to a state of nothingness. Two women who claim to be players anounce to the audience that they are about to perform a play and this play will reflect the status of alienation we face day by day yet we refuse to comprehend. Maybe what we don’t want to comprehend is actually the materialistic world we live in.
