DRAMSKI THEATRE SKOPJE

  • Written by: Danilo Kocevski
  • Director: Goran Trecovski

The dramaturg of the play Bogomil Gjuzel is asking “Godot has come-then what?” As it could be grasped from his question, the play by Danilo Kocevski is based on the problems of a society passing through a state of transition. What will be the next step? A change to privatization? Who will materialize this act? Ex-communists new capitalists? Should we say the times preceeding the transition were the times of “Waiting for Godot?” Expectations for a better life (maybe after death)? Now Godot has come and he’s offering to Vladko and Estro an abundance of food and freedom to fly as birds, but are they really happy?
