Marat’nın Eziyetle, Kasten Öldürülüşünün Charenton’daki Akıl Hastalarınca Marki de Sade Yönetiminde Sahnelenişi: Günümüzün en etkileyici tiyatro eserlerinden biri. Marki de Sade’in Charenton akıl hastanesinde kalırken, Jean Paul Marat’nın 1793’te öldürülüşü üstüne kaleme aldığı ve sahnelediği oyun, akıl hastası oyuncular tarafından hastanenin yöneticisi ve ailesine sunulmaktadır. The Persecution and Assassination of Jean Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of The Marquis de Sade: One of the most sensational plays of our times. While interned in the asylum of Charenton, Marquis de Sade wrote a play on assassination of Jean Paul Marat in 1793 and it is being performed by the inmates to the director of the mental hospital and his family. On one side there is Marat, who after subjecting society to the shafts of his critisism placed himself entirely in the service of the revolution and on other side there is Marquis de Sade, who saw the dangers of totalitarianism and yet his mode of thought was for the pleasures in this world. Two figures in opposition, two thesis in opposition, two political approaches in opposition.
