Our one-act play “Spring is Rebellious” is an inspiration of Oktay Rifat’s poem “Rains”. It is a collage embracing Oktay Rifat’s poem, Yusuf Atılgan’s “A Fable for Ceren” , “The Load” and Onat Kutlar’s short story “Spring is Rebellious”. The play tells about rope dancers and clowns of the fair ground. Starting out from the two characters mentioned in the same poem; “The Orange Coloured Boy” and “The Girl With Blue Tits”, we dedicate our play to all the masters of beauty who live and fight for it. We dedicate our play to the circus clowns and rope dancers strolling from one town to the other, to the minstrels who were thrown in fire because of their words and to many a lives which are being burned for their faith in beauty...
