DİYARBAKIR STATE THEATRE
- Director: Işıl Kasapoğlu
Işıl Kasapoğlu’s interpretation is reinforced by the travelling company phenomenon which the production is based upon. We are living on the continent where at the turn of the century Shakespearean plays, always rearranged, were performed by travelling actors. The zest added to our theatre tradition by such Shakespeare players is now being utilized on contemporary stage by the colorful interpretation of Işıl Kasapoğlu. Singing, dancing, jungling, joking, fighting, laughing, spending an inexhaustible energy and looking at the world through “farce” glasses, yet not missing the point that farcecan also bear an intelectual approach. An interpretation which is warm and has the sprit of a carnival.
