BIURO PODROZY THEATRE

  • Realisation: Biuro Podrozy Theatre
  • Directed by: Pawel Szkotak

The point of departure for this stunning street performance is ethic conflicts and intolerance as spreading phenomena, as well as all that happened in Bosnia. This young group has created metaphors for lives that were wasted and lost in former Yugoslavia and for all the pain and violence experinced there. In very simple terms, it expresses the drama of the people torn apart from their roots. This dynamic group, which was awarded with the Fringe First and the Critic’s Prize in Edinburgh Festival last year, tackles crimes of humanity through a strong and visually expressive approach made up of body movements, chilling music and a spectacular set design.
