Euripides is one of the three great tragedy writers of the Ancient Greek Theatre. Heiner Müller is among the leading intellectuals and playwrights of contemporary theatre.Alla Demidova, is a “Diva” of the drama world. A familiar name to the Turkish theatre audience, Theodorus Terzopoulos, has staged “Medea” inspired by Euripide’s “Medea” and Heiner Müller’s “Medeamaterial”. Terzopoulo’s version also bears the rich colours of the Georgian culture (Colkhis). “Medea” is the closing play of the 8th International İstanbul Theatre Festival Alla Demidova will perform this play at Hangia Eirene and it will be remembered not only with its rich content but also as an acting feast.
