The five short plays of Beckett( “The Breath”, “Act Without Words I”, “Come and Go”, “Act Without Words II”) stres his perception of the impermanence of life. Life: The mandatory time limit... On stage the processof life/the play/the living performance is important. What confronts human being in life, what confronts human being in life, what confronts the actor in a play confronts the actor on the stage. What is visual is carried into what is auditory. Words are not present to tell a story but to Express the complexity of thought... The actor catches “the human” thought not the human picture... This can be realized only by bringing the mere human onto the stage.
