Shakespeare’s Macbeth, in the hands of Cuilli and Clahsen turns into a monster, a slaughter-machine. The scarey noise of bombs falling at the very beginning of the play and the brilliant performance of Fritz Schediwy spreading death and horror on stage, give us the feeling that this nightmae is not too distant. The shortened Shakespearean text is enriched with passages from Nietzche, Schopenhauer and Biblical quotations, which turn it into an individual interpretation of the classical version. Here we are not promised a beter world. It is left to the audience to find an answer.
